Why do boundaries matter?


Boundaries matter because they’re what separate you from others. They’re what help you to keep you feeling like you, in addition to solid, present, and emotionally well. When you don’t know what your boundaries are or when you don’t assert them, you will be affected in myriad ways, whether emotionally or physically.

Resentment, frustration, rage, guilt and shame are some emotions that may plague those who are disconnected from their boundaries. Burnout, anxiety, exhaustion, depression, and irritability are prominent states of mind that can be a result of lack of boundaries.

Boundary issues can also show up in the body as physical health symptoms and complaints. I’ve seen it manifest as back pain and headaches, to digestive issues, skin problems, autoimmune disease, thyroid disease, and so much more. 

While cultivating boundaries that separate you from others to allow for the full presence of you is a good thing, there’s also duality here. As boundaries can be lacking, they can also be too rigid. And in this rigidity, it has the power to disable connection with others.

Boundaries are ever-changing and evolving! I've spent many years working on my boundaries even before I knew there was a term for it. And I've worked with hundreds of people to guide them in the exploration and practice of their own boundaries.

In this course, I've infused some of the best practices, skillsets, and thought work to bring you resources that you can master on your own and come back to over and over as you grown and change.

I've worked with clients for nearly a decade, helping them get to the root of chronic health issues, both physical and emotional, using traditional naturopathic principles, remedies, energetics, and somatic therapies.

What are the energetics of boundaries?


While we delve into the more tangible aspects of boundaries in this course, the energetic portion is also a place of profound transformation.

I had spent many years working consciously on exploring my own boundaries when I discovered the Basics. I thought I was doing pretty well most of the time, but the Basics practice truly allowed me to feel boundaries in an embodied way. This means I didn’t have to think about it so much anymore. It became second-nature. And most importantly, it taught me so many more aspects of boundaries and beyond.

The Basics, when practiced consistently, can and will change your life.

My practice has been many years now, and I still learn new things about the power of these energetic boundaries practice.

Basics are skillsets to practice and hone to cultivate your energy management capability and capacity. Beyond boundaries, they're used to keep yourself out of stress pattern reactions or get you out of reaction more efficiently when you find yourself in pattern.
